Mid-Ohio Psychological Services Referral Source Survey
  • Spring 2007

Procedure
  • Surveys were distributed at a regularly scheduled meeting at Fairfield County Children Job and Family Service, and all Fairfield County Municipal Court Staff and all Fairfield County Children Services Staff.
  • “Hard Copy” results were collected while ensuring confidentiality
  • 37 people responded to the survey (19 in 2005)

I do not refer people to MOPS--If you do not refer people, why not?
  • Drug Court- refer to TRC
  • I don't have a case load- Supervisor

10
What could MOPS do to improve its service delivery system?  What could MOPS do different?
  • Some therapists do an exceptional job- Kimberly Rugg, Scott Craft, Amanda Martin. Others improvement is needed on teamwork with other agencies. It is not just counselors' fault, but caseworkers and others service providers need to have more contact as well
  • Offer more time slots for Mental Functional Assessments. The wait is a bit long
  • No suggestions at this time
  • More variety of hours. Easier to schedule with counselor
  • I have no commendations. I am happy with MOPS and all staff members
  • Possibly offer in home counseling
  • Increasing awareness of full range of services, which is happening thru brochures and visits like today.
  • Need more intensive therapy
  • Make sure assessments are provided to the judge before the sentencing so important data can be considered to devise a comprehensive, directed treatment plan.
  • Offer a broader range of available times for appointments. It is sometimes difficult to arrange appointments during the day because of kids school schedules, dr. appointments ect. and it would be helpful to have more evening appointments available

What could MOPS do to improve its service delivery system?  What could MOPS do different?   (Continued)
  • n/a
  • Easier access to a doctor would help to improve service delivery.  Increasing communication between the therapist and the court could help to define specific issues for treatment. The advent of Jennifer Kennedy's position at the court has been incredibly helpful to both court and staff and defendants. Continuing this position is definitely needed.
  • If the referral packet was smaller or condensed this would not overwhelm potential clients
  • Make sure assessments are provided to the judge before the sentencing so important data can be considered to devise a comprehensive, directed treatment plan.
  • More Mental Functional Appointments (I know... Sorry)
  • Nothing Great Job
